QUESTION: What is the VIP Code needed to register?
ANSWER: The VIP Code is: NOSPAMPLEASE
QUESTION: Why isn't my account activated yet?
ANSWER: Due to many kinds of time wasters (spammers, hackers etc.) on the internet attacking our forum with their links and posts every day, your account needs to be activated by yourself using a VIP Code before you can begin posting. When you register on this forum, you will have to enter a VIP Code (see above). When you register, don't forget to enter some details into your account which would clearly identify you as a collector or a dealer and not as a spammer. If you leave your account empty and only register with a username, there are many chances that your account will not get activated. Be prepared to reply to administrator's inquiries about your identity (to prevent spam and unwanted users entering forum).
QUESTION: Why has my account been deleted?
ANSWER: There are many reasons why your account was deleted. Please read Rules of the Forum. Most common reasons are: spamming; posting illegal or unrelated links in your member profile; not introducing yourself well in your member profile nor in the forum; since becoming a registered member you did not contribute any posts to the forum for the last 3 or more months or at all; you have not convinced the forum administrator that you are a bank note collector or a dealer who is contributing to the forum (members) in some way; your email address is bouncing (invalid, outdated). IMPORTANT: While registering as a member, please make sure you provide your location (city, state, county, country), your collecting info. That way you will avoid your membership being suspended or deleted.
QUESTION: Why was my signature (or my home page link under my profile) edited/deleted?
ANSWER: Your signature (and/or your home page link under your profile) contained a text and/or a link that was referring to a commercial or partially commercial banknote related website, pricelist or a web store that we do not allow referring nor linking to. A person who came here with a purpose to promote their forum or their commercial site is going to unnaturally post a lot of not-so-valuable posts in various topics and subforums only because they want to spread their signature or home page link to as wide audience as possible. We don't want our traffic to explode from such posts. If you are a dealer you are allowed one ad in "Dealer Ads" subforum.
QUESTION: What does "notaphily" and "notaphilist" stand for?
ANSWER: Notaphily is the study of paper money or banknotes. A notaphilist is a collector of banknotes, paper money, paper currency or plastic notes. |
