I. GENERAL RULES:

1.1. Posts are to be made in the relevant forum. Users are asked to read the forum descriptions before posting. Users consistently posting to the wrong forum may be given a warning.

1.2. Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc.

1.3. Advertising of another forum (message board, bulletin board) on our forum is not allowed in any way.

1.4. Members should respect the bandwidth of other users and sites. The use of inline ([IMG][/IMG]) image tags pointing to data stored on third party systems for which the user has not received permission to link to may be removed.

1.5. Members should post in a way which is consistent with "normal writing". That is users should not post excessive numbers of emoticons, large, small or coloured text, etc. Similarly users should not SHOUT or use excessive punctuation (e.g. ! and ?) in topic titles or posts. Users consistently abusing this will be warned.

1.6. Spam is not tolerated here under any circumstance. Users posting spam will be warned or banned and their post removed.

1.7. Signing up with an invalid email address will automatically put you in a category of suspended or banned users and your registration will become a subject to removal. You may be also blocked from future access to this forum.

1.8. While debating and discussion is fine and welcomed, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. Our decision is final in these matters.

1.9. Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) non-sense posts, or the such.

1.10. Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed.

1.11. Advertising, spamming and trolling is not allowed. This includes using the forum email and Private message system to spam other members.

1.12. We also do not allow posts that are sexual in nature or violate Banknotes.com community standards. The Notaphilist.com team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards.

1.13. Discussion of illegal activities are not allowed.

1.14. Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed.

1.15. We reserve the right to remove offensive posts and member profiles without prior notice.

1.16. If you are going to post non-English or slang on these forums, please also post an English translation of your post.

1.17. Insulting (more than just a constructive criticism) a moderator, another member or an admin is considered bad taste. On a first offense your signature (and home page link) will be suspended or banned indefinitely. On a repeated offense you may be suspended or your membership and all posts deleted. Repeated offenders will be indefinitely blocked from accessing our forums.

1.18. Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.

1.19. You cannot post any affiliate or referral links (including links in your registration profile under "Website" in "Memberlist" and in your signature) or links that lead to click-through ads page(s), or post anything asking for a referral or advertise another forum (message board). Inactive, "Under Construction", blank page, "Not Found" or "dead" links are not allowed. Such posts and member profiles will be subject to removal.

1.20. If you live/reside in a Country "A" (one country) but state on your profile or signature that you live (are from) in a Country "Z" (different country) you have to post a convincing and reasonable explanation in your profile, otherwise your membership may be suspended or may become a subject to removal.

1.21. "For Sale", "Wanted", "Trade" ads of all sorts are only allowed in the specialised, collector and dealer dedicated subforums.

1.22. You cannot post advertisements or notices for contests anywhere on this forum including in your profile and signature.

1.23. No dealer or any other numismatic related commercial or semi-commercial websites are allowed in anyone's registration profile under "Website" in "Memberlist" nor in signatures unless you are only posting in the "Banknote Dealer Ads Forum".

1.24. Posts that promote or lead to any of the following are prohibited:

Affiliate pages with ads (example: Google Ads)
Affiliate programs
Banknote sales (even if part of site) (except the dealer forum)
Brutal violence
Coarse language
Cursing
"Dead" page/site
Disturbing images
Drug, alcohol and/or tobacco use
Ethno-cultural slurs
Forums
Gory scenes (visual depictions of bloodletting or tissue damage, as in a combat, horror, or surgical context)
Insults and bad language
Mature themes
Medicine, prescription or non-prescription drug sales
Message Boards
"Not Found" page/site
Nudity

1.25. We also reserve the right to ban anyone who willfully violates the forum rules.

1.26. Any threads/posts of these types will be deleted.

II. ADVERTISING SERVICES:

2.1. We do not allow people to post threads or to send private messages or emails to users here that advertise or solicit any products or services. Explicit advertising and solicitating in signatures and member profiles and profile homepage links is also prohibited.

2.2. You should never give out your Notaphilist.com or Banknotes.com customer number or password to anyone, and you should not disclose server logins and/or passwords to anyone except through the Banknotes.com support system. We can not take responsibility if you disclose this information to anyone else.

III. LINKING GUIDELINES:

3.1. Linking to a commercial product/service is fine (exceptions apply*), provided it is not a product or service that competes with a product or service offered by Notaphilist.com, does not advertise or promote use of any kind of medicine, prescription drugs or adult related merchandise and it is not an affiliate program link for Notaphilist.com or any other affiliate program. We reserve the right to request removal (or remove them ourselves) of links from your profile and signature that we may consider inappropriate.

*/ Exception is the "Banknote Dealer Ads Forum" where every dealer is allowed one ad per person or per company.

Members that do not actively contribute to the forum (minimum 5 and ongoing posts) and those who do not actively participate in the forum are not allowed any kind of links* in their registration profile under "Website" in "Memberlist" nor in their signatures. We reserve the right to remove website links and signatures of those members who have not contributed to the forum in any way in the last 30 or more days.

*/ Profiles and signatures of inactive, non-contributing members can not have links to a commercial website or a website that contains Google Ads or any other click-through ads or is a "link farm". Exception is collector websites without commercial contents and without any click-through revenue generating ads nor any links to commercial websites.

3.3. A link and promotional text for a site that is not commercial, is not a forum (message board), does not contain product(s) and/or service(s) and is not linking to other commercial websites is allowed, provided the site is not a "dead" link, not sexual or does not violate Notaphilist.com community standards. The Notaphilist.com team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards. Examples include sites about drugs and/or sex.

3.3.1. No one is allowed to link to a "link farm" or any page or a website that is clearly made to generate click-through ad revenue.

3.4. Duplicate links to the same URL are not allowed. That includes different URLs with the same root domain (first and second level domain).

3.5. Links that lead to or promote any of the following are prohibited:

Affiliate pages with ads (example: Google Ads)
Affiliate programs
Banknote sales (even if part of site) (except the dealer forum)
Brutal violence
Coarse language
